This first option is a dynamic presentation on how God uses ministry and service to transform our hearts. Kevin Frank, the director of Brady Faith Center, who has been in urban ministry for over 20 years, uses his personal story and stories of people he has met to bring the group into a beautiful picture of God's kingdom.
Kevin has years of experience speaking to people of all ages (including teenagers!) and is able to engage all through his energy and story telling.
This workshop is customizable. Large groups can be broken into smaller groups for discussion and reflection, and the length is flexible.
This workshop can happen at the location of your choice.
This workshop can be a two hour or full-day experience that brings you to multiple ministry sites around Syracuse to show the group specific ways these places are meeting the needs of the poor and marginalized. Needs are met in tangible ways, like giving food and clothing, and sometimes even relational ways, like living with people with needs to help them in daily life.
It is good for groups to use their senses to press an image in their minds of what ministry organizations look like in Syracuse. When groups see and smell a place it can become more memorable than just learning about it.
Our speaker will present information and guide your group around to each site. We can also offer times for reflection if this is something you want to do.
Remember, both workshops are customizable to meet the needs of your group.
This is a unique way to introduce the needs of Syracuse to people high school age and up.
Both Workshops are GREAT for Confirmation Classes, adult groups, peace and justice groups, or really, any retreat experience.
Workshops can be, and often are, combined with Immersions, for a complete Come and See experience
